Unicorns 2014 serves as a good companion to who will cut our hair when we re gone pretty burbly pop with a sort of bright futuristic edge.

I m not sure if it s just the unicorns love of messing with their audience or a mistake but the labels on the vinyl are on the opposite sides that they should be and the black vinyl doesn t show up it looks like a black bit of vinyl pressed between two pink layers. 2014 is an ep by the unicorns released in 2004 by suicide squeeze records. It has since been repressed in limited quantities on pink and brown vinyl by alien8 and was re released on august 26 2014 on the band s own label caterpillar records. The album was first issued on cd and on vinyl in north america by alien8 recordings on october 21 2003 and on cd in europe by rough trade records in 2004.

The unicorns were a canadian rock band from montreal quebec canada formed in 2000 by nicholas thorburn nick diamonds and alden penner alden ginger who were later joined by jamie thompson j aime tambeur in december 2003. The 7 version was pressed on purple vinyl and limited to 2 000 copies. It was the band s final release prior to their split in late 2004. It sounds amazing and i love the packaging.
